Antonio Baiocco nasce a Roma, studia Scienze Politiche presso l’università di Roma Tra il 1980 e il 1988 lavora in televisione prima come montatore poi come realizzatore di spot pubblicitari e documentari culturali e industriali. Nel 1985 pubblica il romanzo Acido Santo edito da BM Italia e nel 1990 scrive e dirige il lungometraggio per la televisione” UNA STORIA SBAGLIATA” .Nel 1991 conduce seminari di cinematografia e teatro. Ritorna nel 1992 al documentario realizzando una serie di spot per il Comitato Olimpico Italiano. Nel 1993 scrive e dirige il suo primo lungometraggio cinematografico SULLE ALI DELLA FOLLIA, aggiudicandosi il premio del pubblico francese al festival italiano di Bastia. PASSAGGIO PER IL PARADISO è la seconda opera con un cast d’eccezione J.HARRIS e T. KARYO. Una coproduzione italo franco inglese che vede coinvolto anche la star DAVID BOWIE. A questo si aggiunge PAT METHENEY che realizza la colonna sonora. Il film premiato al festival internazionale di Montreal e al festival di Fort Laudardale viene distribuito negli Stati Uniti dalla BRIGHTON AVENUE . l nuovo film Il MERCANTE DI STOFFE realizzato tra l’Italia e il Marocco che vede nel cast Sebastiano Somma ed Emanuela Garruccio.Distibuito da Microcinema Italia 2011. ----- Antonio Baiocco was born in Rome .
